MEETINGS – CLUB, DISTRICT, REGIONAL & ZONAL
CLUB LEVEL MEETINGS:
The meetings i.e, Board Meetings & Regular Meetings of the Club are very well planned in advance and diarised in the form a small Club Mini Directory with dates of the meetings were fixed subject to change if needed, released & circulated among the members on the day of Installation and the first released copy handed over to our Charter Member Ln MJF Dr G V Chalapathi Rao.
Board Meetings:
12 (Twelve) Board Meetings were held from 1st July 2007 to 1st June 2008 and a Special GAV Board Meeting Also Conducted. All Board meetings registered a participation of over 80%. All the Board Members – the Brains are very active and participating in the club’s overall functioning of achieving the goals set in the beginning of the year. All the meetings are sponsored by Board Members in seriatum from President to Tail Twister.
Regular Meetings:
25 (Twenty Five) Regular Meetings were held which include
Five Speakers’ Meet, One Childrens’ Meeting, One Teachers
Day Meeting, Four Closed Meeting, AGM & New Member Orientation,
One Past Presidents Meeting, Three Joint Meetings with Inter District
and Inter Region Inter Clubs, Charter Nite Meeting, One GAV Meeting,
Two New Member Induction Meetings, Independence Day Celebrations &
Meeting, a Meeting Inauguration of Ayur Expo 07, Renovation Meeting
at our Hospital, One Family Meeting, & PKKrishnan and ARK Memorial
Meeting.
A Joint meeting with Pamban Swamigal Trust also done but not taken as
a regular meeting. .26th Meeting is the Installation of new President
and his team scheduled on 29th of June 2008.
Communication Live Wire !:
It is very much highlighted with regard that Lion S Muthuswamy helped the Secretary by adding members’ email id in the Lions T Nagar Group in yahoo.com and helped us to save money on courier expenses. Even though Group started in 2002 and till last year the Group had only 23 email linked members and as on date around 60 email id’s are there in the Group for effective communication. This helped to keep the communication wire LIVE !!!
Committee Meetings:
All the Club committees were regularly meeting and planning the administration and activities at equal intervals.
District, Reginal & Zonal:
The Club represented all District Functions so far with the required percentage of participation. To quote a few,

PST & I VP have attended
Three Zonal Advisory Meetings & Zone Social Steering Committee Meeting, Ln S J Sharma was the Zone Meet Secretary. PST Interface Meeting. IT Training Classes and PST Schooling at Kodaikanal.
The PST & MD were fortunate enough to participate in luncheon with International President Ln. Amarasuriya during his visit to Chennai during Golden Jubilee Celebrations at Hotel Savera on 30th November 2007.
President, Ln S J Sharma and I VP Ln K Rajeshkumar both have attended Multiple District Annual Convention meeting at Coimbatore on May 17th & 18th 2008.
Minutes of Meetings:
Minutes of the all Meetings have been recorded with full narration by the Secretary and emailed to all the members for their information. Board Minutes were circulated for Board Members alone. Hard Copies of the same are filed separately by the Secretary.
Submission of Reports:
The Club regularly filed its monthly returns i.e., Monthly Membership Report, Administration & Activities Report to the District Central office in time without any delay.
Payment of Dues to Internatinal, District & Multiples:
The Office bearers have taken adequate care in remitting the Internatinal dues, District Dues and Multiple District Dues etc., in time. Even for the new members also the dues are remitted on the receipt of the bill. Bills not received for the 4 members admitted in June 2008.
Subscription Collections:
The subscriptions have been fully collected. One Hundred Percent Subscription Collections. Throughout the year, the Cash Flows were very much healthy and Office bearers dedicate their sincere thanks to all the members.
Accounts:
The accounts of the club had been maintained in Tally Package and On the last board meeting, after the approval of the Board, the 11 months accounts from 01-07-2007 to 31-05-2008 have been forwarded to the Auditor, Ln R Chandrasekar for scrutiny. June 08 will be given to him at the Board meeting during July 2008. Two Bank Accounts were maintained separately for Administration and Activities with Indian Overseas Bank, Rangarajapuram, Chennai 600 024. Quarterly account statements were regularly sent to the District under cop to RC, ZC and DC – Financial Discipline.
Scrap Book:
The Club had been maintaining a Scrap Book with all the newspaper, local dailies information about the club and circulated among the members at all the meetings. The same is sent to Central Office during evaluation.
Charter Nite:
The Club Celebrated its 22nd Charter Nite on the 25th of August 2007 and Shri G Santhanam, IAS Officer was honored in recognition of his selfless services to the Society. Highest attendance of over 35 lions in the Charter Nite. The Chief Guest was Lion K Ramaswamy and Mr. Shanmugam, Ex-MLA, Coimbatore. The Cabinet Secretary, Ln J Badrinath and Cabinet Treasurer, Ln Rama.Padmanaaban registered their gracious presence.
